Slow-cooked in earthen pots from hand-churned curd and traditional makkhan, this ghee is thick, creamy, intensely aromatic, and naturally nourishing. Why It Tastes Better

Gyros Buffalo Ghee is made the old Indian way — slowly, patiently, and without shortcuts.

The milk comes from naturally raised buffaloes, reared by small farmers — not commercial dairies. These animals are fed local fodder, allowed proper rest, and cared for traditionally.

Buffalo milk is naturally creamier and higher in fat, which gives the ghee its signature richness and body.

The traditional process includes:

  • Slow boiling the milk for 6 hours in earthen pots
  • Letting it cool naturally
  • Turning it into curd using natural cultures
  • Hand-churning the curd using a ravaiya (wooden churner)
  • Collecting thick, creamy makkhan
  • Slow cooking the makkhan until it releases deep golden ghee

Because buffalo milk contains more natural fat, the ghee becomes thicker, denser, more aromatic, and intensely satisfying — with a long-lasting flavour on the tongue.

How It’s Made

Gyros keeps the entire process traditional and honest:

  • Milk is heated slowly on a wood-fired stove in earthen pots for 6 hours
  • Once cooled, it is turned into curd and kept overnight for natural fermentation
  • In the morning, village women begin by performing a small hawan, keeping the process pure
  • The curd is churned gently to separate thick makkhan
  • Makkhan is slow-cooked until it releases rich, golden buffalo ghee
  • Made in small village units, maintaining freshness and authenticity
  • Packed without refining or heavy processing — only pure, natural ghee

This is handmade, small-batch buffalo ghee — not factory-produced fat.
